Any excuse you had for not buying a Google Chromecast just evaporated: prices for the media streaming dongle have now dropped as low as £18 in the UK.
A number of the UK’s top online retailers, including Amazon, Tesco and Currys/PCWorld, are offering a huge 40% slice off of what was an already lowly RRP of £30.
Plus, if you buy before mid-September, you are eligible for a free 90 day Google Play Music All Access trial, while those buying it from Tesco get a free £5 voucher for their (Cast-enabled) movie streaming service BlinkBox, too — jammy!
Since its launch back in March the little streaming device that can has racked up plenty of plaudits. Every week Chromecast support comes to more and more Android and iOS apps, while Chrome OS is set to enabled native casting from its desktop video player out of the box shortly.
