If you live stateside and plan on buying a Chromecast soon you should hold off for a day or two.
Google is teaming up with the American video-on-demand service Hulu to give two months free access to Hulu Plus to those buying a Chromecast between October and December 31, 2014.
Hulu Plus costs $7.99 a month, so this offer adds just shy of $16 of extra value — almost half the cost of a Chromecast itself!
Hulu’s monthly subscription tier offers subscribers access to an expanded library of content over its free offering, including full seasons of shows from ABC, CBS, FOX and more. Hulu Plus subscribers are also able to stream content to mobiles devices through the official apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
As with previous Chromecast offers, you’ll need to head to chromecast.com/offers during/after setup (after October 1 but before the end of the year) to claim it. Existing Chromecast owners are not eligible for the promotion.
Feeling shopping savvy? Buying Chromecast from BJ’s Wholesale Club in the US before December 31 will also net you $10 credit towards a movie rental from Google Play.
