Google+ App for iOS now Opens Links in Chrome

If you use Google+ and own an iPhone, then you may have noticed that Google have recently pushed out an update to the iOS Google+ app…

There’s one notable change in this relatively small update: if you have Chrome installed on your iPhone or iPad, the links that you click inside a post on Google+ will now open up in Chrome.

Apple have restricted the ability for users to choose the default browser within iOS. This typically means that when clicking on a web link in an iOS app it will open it up in Apple’s own Safari browser.

But Google+ has found a way around this – something that iOS-using Chrome-lovers will surely appreciate.

Other changes to Google+ for iOS is the ability for teens to create and join hangouts, as well as bug fixes and performance improvements to the ‘Instant Upload’ feature.

The mobile phone restrictions for teens are *so* stupid. I can Hangout with people from my laptop, but I can’t from my phone, even though I’m still at home, and still connected to Wi-Fi and even got my laptop right next to.
