Google+ Photos app now available for all Chromebooks

Google+ Photos - G+Post Gallery View

The Google+ Photos app – originally exclusive to the Chromebook Pixel – is now available for all Chromebooks starting today.

Google+ Photos was launched earlier this year as a showcase Chrome packaged app. The application, which as the name suggests hooks into your Google+ account, allows you to browse, manage and edit your existing photos, as well as quickly upload new ones through a file picker or auto-upload feature. Plus, being a packaged app, it works offline too!

It takes advantage of many APIs available to packaged applications, like the ability to automatically upload photos to Google+ when you insert an SD Card or USB Flash Drive.

The updated app also features improved performance and support for smaller resolutions for the low-end Chromebooks.
