Chromebooks have finally made their way down under, with the Samsung Chromebook and Acer C7 available to purchase from today.

Almost 2 years after the launch of the Chromebook in US and UK, Australians finally get the chance to own a Chromebook. From today, the Samsung Chromebook and Acer C7 will be available at Harvey Norman, priced at $349 and $299 respectively.  Only the WiFi model will be available, currently no plans for the 3G models.

Both models will come with 100GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years and 1 year warranty. The HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook will be available at a later date. JB Hi Fi will also be selling Chromebooks, but prices are still to be confirmed.

Google has since confirmed 7 new markets for Chrome devices. Click to read more.
