Google’s cheap and cheerful Chromecast streaming device is now available to buy in South Korea.
Priced at 49,900원 (‘won’) the video streaming device has launched with backing of the Korean streaming media services Tving and Hoppin giving access to tens of thousands of videos, movies and popular TV shows.
The dongle can be bought directly from the Google Play Store or through official launch partners Market, HiMart and eBay’s local presence auction.co.kr.
Mickey Kim, Head of Chromecast & TV Partnerships for the Asia Pacific region is suitably upbeat, saying: “It’s great to see some of Asia’s premier content producers and some of Asia’s most advanced Internet users get closer together.”
