If you know someone who has yet to take advantage of the ‘Backdrop’ personalisation features available for Chromecast, beam them over a link to this new video from Google — they’ll thank you for it.
Backdrop debuted in the official Chromecast apps for Android and iOS last month, and was recently outfitted with a bundle of stunning space vistas from NASA’s image library. It allows Cast-ites to customise the look and feel of the Chromecast “idle screen” with features like weather forecast, Google+ photos and professional artwork.
The Google tutorial ad is short and to the point, and walks through the steps needed to get your own photos on the big screen.
A word of warning: the actors in the ad seem to play the situation with an underlying tension. Watching it felt like intruding on the aftermath of a petty argument!
