viglen chromebook 11Rockchip Chromebooks will finally arrive in the UK next month — but aimed solely at education buyers.

Consumers are already able to buy new low-cost Chromebooks featuring the energy-efficient — and well performing — Rockchip 3288 processor in the US, India and a few other countries, with Haier, HiSense, and ASUS all producing models.

But over in Europe the options are… Well, lacking. That makes next month’s launch of the Viglen Chromebook 11 exciting.

The catch is that it’s only being pitched at education buyers.

Sold By XMA

IT solutions company XMA will start selling the notebook from Monday, July 13 priced at £159. The price will include 24/7 telephone support, a 3 year warranty and a web-based Chromebook Management license.

As only a limited quantity will be available at launch XMA advise interested buyers to register their interest before this date, direct through their website.
