If you use Google+ and own an iPhone, then you may have noticed that Google have recently pushed out an update to the iOS Google+ app…

There’s one notable change in this relatively small update: if you have Chrome installed on your iPhone or iPad, the links that you click inside a post on Google+ will now open up in Chrome.

Apple have restricted the ability for users to choose the default browser within iOS. This typically means that when clicking on a web link in an iOS app it will open it up in Apple’s own Safari browser.

But Google+ has found a way around this – something that iOS-using Chrome-lovers will surely appreciate.

Other changes to Google+ for iOS is the ability for teens to create and join hangouts, as well as bug fixes and performance improvements to the ‘Instant Upload’ feature.
